Introducing the 2026 Summer Interns 

Each year Prospect Meadows hosts a couple of summer interns looking to gain experience within the world of sport. This summer, three interns are looking to take on the experience: Kurt Schneider, Anna Waterman, and Zach Strauss. Throughout the summer you will find them around the complex completing all sorts of projects assisting in helping the facility run smoothly. You’ll find them setting up fields, driving the shuttles, at the gate, and a whole assortment of other jobs. Here is a little more about the interns and a picture so you can put a face to each name. 

Kurt Schneider 

Hometown: Wellman, Iowa 
Why Prospect Meadows: Seemed like a good way to get experience in my field of study before I changed plans. 
Future Plans: Find a job in law enforcement and attend the academy to become a law enforcement officer. 
Favorite Baseball Team: St. Louis Cardinals 

Anna Waterman 

Hometown: West Branch, Iowa 
Why Prospect Meadows: I want to get real life experience in sport operations and event management because that is what I plan to pusue in the future.  
Future Plans: Find a job in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area in sports, ideally in college athletics.  
Favorite Baseball Team: Chicago Cubs 

Zach Strauss 

Hometown: Chandler, Arizona 
Why Prospect Meadows: I want to get experience learning how to deal with events, all the ins and outs into running a successful sports operation that will allow me to use this experience for my future career. 
Future Plans: Be a college basketball coach or athletic director 
Favorite Baseball Team: Arizona Diamondbacks
