The 2024 USA Softball Men’s Class D Slow Pitch Northern National tournament was held August 24-25, 2024, at Prospect Meadows. This was the first time a national men’s softball tournament was held at the complex. On Thursday, December 19, 2024, representatives of USA Softball presented Prospect Meadows with the James Farrell Award of Excellence for one of the highest rated national tournaments.
This award is named in honor of former USA Softball of St. Louis Commissioner and National Office Staff Member, James Farrell. The award of excellence is presented to communities that do an outstanding job of hosting the USA Softball National Championship Finals.
Twenty teams from four Midwest states participated in the two-day event, with the No Fly Zone team from New London, Iowa, taking the championship.
Prospect Meadows looks forward to kicking off the 2025 season with the Perfect Game Spring League in March and April. May 2025 will see the season ramp up with tournament play, local leagues and practices, the Kiwanis Miracle League, the League of Dreams, and the Strike Out the Stigma special event all occurring.
