Two Tournaments Held at Prospect Meadows Over the Weekend

Partners Perfect Game and USSSA hosted tournaments at Prospect Meadows last weekend. Some of the best young talent in the area could be seen at the complex, with 13U, 14U and 15U teams competing in these tournaments.

Perfect Game hosted teams from around the Midwest in 14U and 15U divisions. The 2024 14U PG Midwest World Series winner was our own hometown Cedar Rapids Reds Red team. They beat the CBT 14U Black team from Appleton, WI, 11-3. The 15U division champion was Complete Game from East Bethel, MN. They beat the Canes Central Illinois in a nail-biter, 9-8.

The USSSA tournament was for 13U and 14U teams in the 2024 Cornshuckers Silver Slugger NIT. In the 13U division, Top Tier Iowa from right here in Cedar Rapids, defeated the Cascade Cougars 14-1. In the 14U division, Sluggers Baseball Black from Cuba City, WI, played a tight game with Fuel Baseball, coming out ahead 15-14.

Perfect Game and Prospect Meadows will be hosting 124 teams this coming weekend for the 16U and 17U PG Midwest World Series. This is the largest number of teams in a single tournament yet for this partnership!
