Battle for the Midwest Coming to Prospect Meadows

Perfect Game will host the 14U and 15U Battle for the Midwest tournament this weekend at Prospect Meadows. Games begin on Friday, June 9 and conclude on Sunday, June 11.

Forty-four teams from six states will battle it out over the three-day tournament to be crowned champion of the Midwest. With Iowa teams currently playing high school baseball, the teams come from states surrounding Iowa, including Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. A recent economic impact study for Prospect Meadows found that 54.2 percent of people at the complex come from out of state.

“It’s weekends like these that show us how we draw from outside the state to bring new dollars to our communities,” says Jack Roeder, CEO of Prospect Meadows. The study further found that almost $1 million was generated through tax revenue and over $11 million in economic impact to the local area from tournaments at Prospect Meadows.
