Spring League in Full Swing at Prospect Meadows

Perfect Game’s spring season is well underway at Prospect Meadows with 34 teams warming up for the regular season. Most of these teams are made up of kids from Eastern Iowa, with a few teams from the Des Moines area.

After five inches of snow cancelled the first weekend of spring league, Iowa’s crazy spring weather has mostly cooperated to allow games on Saturdays and Sundays in April.

“We’re running ahead of last year in terms of the numbers of games and spectators we have had,” says Jack Roeder, CEO of Prospect Meadows. “We hope that will continue for the last two weekends.”

The regular season will kick off at Prospect Meadows the first weekend in May with a USSSA tournament hosted by the Cedar Rapids Reds. Strike Out the Stigma will follow on Monday, May 6, with their event in the evening. We look forward to another busy season at Prospect Meadows!
